Eclectic Exhibition
This piece is a submission for the ‘Eclectic’ Exhibition at 2 Royal Avenue in Belfast that showed in November 2024. From this, I was one of three illustrators in the show selected by Belfast City Council and Oliver Jeffers to receive a recognition prize.
This was a revisiting to an older illustration of mine; I wished to push my idea further and explore a concept that has been very consistent across my practice – interior comfort and connections between characters. The scene was inspired by the moments between my mother and I, standing around in the kitchen waiting for our food to cook.
