Stories of Home - The Woman in White
The Woman in White supposedly lurks around the castle grounds of Antrim Town after dark. A fire in 1922 turned that castle to ruins - and in 1970 it was demolished for good. Now, all that remains of its original grandeur is some fantastic old photographs (and a resident ghost).
This illustration and animation was created in response to the theme for the Northern Illustration Prize 2025 - "Stories of Home". Exploring a local tale passed down my family through word of mouth that is an intersection where legend and recorded history meet.
